Rita Burgett-Martell is the author of two books: Change Ready! and Defining Moments.

The practical guidance Rita provides is based on her thirty years of professional experience as an organizational change consultant to Fortune 500 clients and career coach to more than 11,000 individuals, plus her own experience of embracing the unknown to completely reinvent her own life from that of an 18 year old uneducated housewife in Nashville, Tennessee to an international change strategist and thought leader to C-level and senior executives.

Rita provides change coaching to help individuals gain clarity, identify choices, and make decisions about the next phase of their life and/or career. She consults with Fortune 500 executives internationally to develop business transformation strategy and execute transition plans that ensure employees are prepared for changes required for the company to remain competitive in a constantly changing business environment.

Her clients include Cisco Systems, Chevron, Gap, Genentech, Symantec, Astra-Zenenca, Genentech, MedImmune, McKesson, Teague Design, Bank of America, California State Automobile Association, Kaiser Permanente, Pacific Gas & Electric, Detroit Edison, Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools, Chicago Public Schools, Infonet,, Quantum, Nissan, the City of Detroit and American Institute for Research.

She has worked internationally with clients in Australia, Manila, Bali, UK, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, France, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Switzerland, Singapore and the Middle East, and has taught classes on Business Transformation and Innovation for graduate students at Cambridge Corporate University.

Before establishing her own consulting firm, Strategic Transformations Inc., in 2001, she was the Senior Managing Director of the Organizational Change Practice at KPMG Consulting and Oracle Corporation in San Francisco, and the founder of A Woman’s Place, Inc., a personal and career transition center for women in Nashville, Tennessee.

She is a summa cum laude graduate of Belmont University in Nashville, a volunteer big sister for Big Brothers and Big Sisters in San Francisco and the proud mother of two amazing daughters, Regina and Renita, and one really amazing granddaughter, Rebecca.Rita and her husband, Dan, spend time throughout the year at their homes in Sausalito, California and Nashville, Tennessee.
